Welcome!!!!!
Dear Parent/Guardian:
My name is Keely Webb and I will be your child’s guidance teacher for the 2009/2010 school year. I am going into my fourth school year at Millington Middle and am very excited to be working with your child. I have a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a M.S. in Counseling from the University of Memphis.
In my classroom guidance sessions, I will follow the same conduct procedures as the classroom teachers. I will be teaching 8th and 7th grade guidance class weekly that will help them learn and practice social, academic, and career skills. We use the Life Skills program to help students develop caring behaviors toward others. This is an approach of providing positive correction and practice for behavior that leads to negative outcomes. We will cover topics that help lead to life success now and in the future.
As a school counselor, I believe my most important job is to be an advocate for your child so feel free to call me when you have questions or concerns that directly affect your child.
Sincerely,
Keely Webb, School Counselor
